ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
As a Claims Specialist, you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to analyze and interpret claims data, providing valuable insights and advice to underwriters and marketers on effective claims handling strategies. You will play a key role in developing claims dashboards and working with profit and loss models by compiling and analyzing claims analytics. Additionally, you will liaise with third-party adjusters, lawyers, underwriters, and actuaries to ensure smooth communication and effective claims management.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Collaborate with Third-Party Adjusters (TPAs) to manage claims effectively
Evaluate and recommend claims handling strategies
Oversee a wide range of claims, including Property & Casualty (P&C), Errors & Omissions (E&O), and more
Analyze claims data and trends, providing guidance and direction to the team
Partner with IT to develop and maintain claims dashboards featuring KPIs and analytics
Compile and present claims analytics for market submissions
Work with profit and loss models to track claims performance and financial outcomes
Supervise and support junior claims coordinators, ensuring accurate and efficient data management
THE REQUIREMENTS
Post-secondary degree or diploma in mathematics, finance, economics, business, or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of commercial claims adjusting experience
CIP Certification or equivalent, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of building relationships and effectively managing multiple tasks in a service-oriented role
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with a proven ability to handle confidential material and thrive in changing environments
COMPENSATION
$90,000 - $110,000 base salary negotiable depending on experience plus annual bonus
