The Opportunity: We are seeking a Part Time Consumer Loan Closer to join our team. This role will monitor, update and review loan data to coordinate and prepare consumer loan closing documents with an emphasis on remote closings. Maintain loan files, answer incoming correspondence and communicate regularly with members, supporting them through the loan process.
This position will average 29 hours per week.
What You'll Do:
Ensure all processed loan documents are complete and accurate according to our lending policies.
Clear pre-closing conditions and coordinate closing with member.
Review non-HELOC titles to clear discrepancies or problems.
Request and review payoff letters for refinances and lease buyouts.
Provide administrative assistance to underwriters by entering and updating loan data in LOS system.
Support and respond to incoming correspondence/loan questions from members; guide members through loan process.
Answer loan questions from members, branches, call center and support departments, and resolve loan issues.
Identify and pursue cross selling opportunities while communicating with the member.
Meet or exceed expected service levels related to follow up and timely closings of consumer loans.
Maintain knowledge of Consumer Compliance Regulations (Reg B, Reg Z, HMDA).
Maintain pending loan files, including obtain loan documentation and follow-up.
What You'll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two to four years consumer lending experience.
Demonstrated ability for high attention to detail.
Proficient in the following systems/applications: LOS, DNA, Word and Excel.
Ability to write effective member correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively with borrowers and other employees of the organization.
Must be resourceful, perceptive and persuasive in solving problems.
Ability to take initiative.
Consistent positive, cooperative, self-motivated, courteous and professional attitude.
