Customer Service Support Specialist
Location: Newbury Park, CA
Salary: $20-$24 per hour DOE
Schedule: M-F 8AM to 5PM
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Support Specialist to join a distribution team. This role supports the General Manager, manages data, and communicates with customers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service. This is a temp to hire position with the potential to become a Customer Service Manager.
- Responsibilities
- Create Excel spreadsheets with product data.
- Update and maintain master product files.
- Send invoices and shipment details promptly.
- Manage product data in shipping portals.
- Edit and upload images for web use.
- Respond to customer and supplier inquiries.
- Answer customer emails and phone inquiries.
- Process returns, exchanges, and cancellations efficiently.
- Handle out-of-stock notifications for orders.
- Print labels and reformat addresses for shipping.
- Greet visitors and ensure NDA compliance.
- Perform general clerical and support tasks.
- Supervise and train customer service team.
- Assign tasks and balance workloads daily.
- Develop and optimize customer service procedures.
- Resolve escalated issues beyond staff level.
- Monitor and improve departmental performance metrics.
- Track and enter data for accurate billing. Requirements
- Demonstrated experience working within the consumer goods field.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, including the creation and use of complex formulas.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with the Shopify platform is highly desirable.
- A dependable team member with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; a College Degree is preferred. Benefits:
