The Field Engineer 2 performs on time and accurate Preventative Maintenance in one or more modalities of equipment. The FE2 is aware of and follows all Field Modification Instructions and/or Instrument Service Information bulletins. Works with experienced Field Engineers, both onsite and remotely, to learn troubleshooting, repair and equipment installation techniques. Responsible for driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.
The Field Engineer will primarily perform preventative maintenance, throughout Central Florida.
This role requires the candidate to work onsite at customer locations and occasionally from home office. To provide onsite customer support, candidate needs to be able to work in the Orlando FL area.
This is a 3rd shift role - hours are: 9pm to 6:00 am on average but depending on business needs could be flexible.

- Job DescriptionResponsibilities:
- Perform timely and accurate preventative maintenance, installations, and troubleshooting on medical equipment within a hospital or healthcare system to ensure optimal delivery of healthcare services to patients.
- Maintain relationships with customers and ensure timely communication, resolution and proper follow-up to drive customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and hospital protocols, to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met; ensure documentation of all work performed is captured, including the ordering of parts.
- Required Qualifications:
- Associates degree or Bachelor's degree and a minimum 2 years of experience servicing medical equipment; OR military education equivalent to a Bachelor's or Associate's degree and a minimum 2 years of experience servicing medical equipment; OR Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED and a minimum 4 years of experience servicing medical, imaging, electrical or electro-mechanical equipment.
- Experience with Web applications as well as Microsoft suite of products.
- Willingness to work 3rd shift and be available after-hours and/or work a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends for critical issues and coverage as necessary.
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.
- Willingness to travel for training.

- Special Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch or squat, kneel or crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex or extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity.
